The conveyor belt is used in the compaction and partial transport of solids from screening stations in civil and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Whenever it is necessary to dehydrate the residue from screening as much as possible to transport it with minimal volume to a collection container, the press economically solves the problem. The initial volume of the product can be reduced by up to 25%.
The conveyor belt consists essentially of a horizontal cylinder equipped with a feeding mouth and a double-acting piston powered by a suitable hydraulic unit. The material to be dehydrated, discharged into a hopper above the discharge mouth, is pressed by the internal piston and pushed to travel through the counterpressure pipe located at the exit of the horizontal cylinder. The counterpressure pipe can have various configurations, including an increase in height, which facilitates the discharge. To sanitize the transport of the pressed material, the counterpressure pipe can be equipped with a semi-automatic bagging system. The liquid separated during compression exits at the bottom of the cylinder equipped with holes and is collected in an underlying basin for subsequent treatment.
Usage Function:
The conveyor belt is used for the partial transport of solids resulting from screening processes. It serves to transport the discharged material from a screening station to a collection point where movement is facilitated.
The conveyor belt is normally composed of a drum for driving the belt, a belt (or conveyor), a support frame, return rollers, tensioning rollers, and, if necessary, supporting and support rollers, along with a sliding surface.
The belt’s movement is controlled by the rollers and the gearmotor. The transported material remains in the center of the belt thanks to containment sideguards. The scraper located in the discharge area ensures the constant cleanliness of the belt. Belts can operate with an inclination from 0° to 30°.
Advantages
- Simplicity of operation.
- Optimization of solid transport.
- Significant reduction in sludge volume.
- Reduced monitoring costs.
- Low energy consumption compared to traditional forms of transport.
- Ability to handle large quantities of transported material.
Opzioni
The conveyor belt is available in fixed or motorized versions. If motorized, the motor can be operated directly or with a variable speed drive. The variable speed drive can be a mechanical or frequency controller. Various lengths, widths, and heights are available. Depending on the chosen version, it is equipped with a main switch or a control unit with a frequency controller and a main switch. It can be installed horizontally or inclined up to a maximum of 30 degrees, depending on the requirements.
Accessories
- Double-layer non-slip rubber belt.
- Side guards for guiding the transported material.
- Underbelt scraper made of polyurethane.
- Side chutes for collecting grid discharge.
- Support structure with height-adjustable feet.
Types of Conveyor Belts:
- Motorized Conveyor Belts: These are conveyor belts equipped with a motor for automated material transport.
- Frontal Conveyor Belts: Frontal conveyors are designed to transport materials in a forward direction, typically used for specific applications where front-facing movement is essential.
- Coupled Conveyors: Coupled conveyors are conveyor systems that are linked or joined together to create a continuous material transport system. They are commonly used for efficiently transporting materials over longer distances.
- Hopper Conveyors: Hopper conveyors are specifically designed for handling materials from hoppers or storage containers. They facilitate the controlled discharge of materials from hoppers onto the conveyor belt for further transport.
